1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

• Platform: The digital platform operated under the name The Stable Network, including website, applications, and related services.

• Company / We / Us: The Stable Network.

• Barn / Stable Owner: Any individual or legal entity using the Platform to request grooming or stable-related services.

• Worker / Groom: Any individual using the Platform to offer services.

• User: Any Barn or Worker using the Platform.

• Booking: A confirmation between a Barn and a Worker for services arranged via the Platform.

• Services: The matchmaking and facilitation services provided by the Platform only.

2. Nature of the Platform

2.1 The Stable Network is a matchmaking platform only.
The Platform facilitates introductions and connections between Barns and Workers.
It does not:

• act as an employer, co-employer, or principal;

• act as a temporary employment agency (uitzendbureau);

• act as a job board;

• provide staffing, payroll, or employment services;

• supervise, direct, or control work performed by Workers.

2.2 No employment relationship.
No employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship exists between:

• The Stable Network and any Worker;

• The Stable Network and any Barn;

• Barns and Workers by virtue of using the Platform alone.

2.3 Platform fees clarification.
Any fees paid to The Stable Network relate exclusively to access to and use of the Platform and never to the performance, supply, or outcome of work by Workers.

3. Worker Status & Classification

3.1 Workers operate independently and are responsible for determining whether they act as:

• self-employed (ZZP’er); or

• employee of the Barn.

3.2 The Stable Network does not:

• classify Workers;

• guarantee independent contractor status;

• assess tax, employment, or social security obligations.

3.3 Users acknowledge that Dutch authorities assess actual working conditions, not labels, and accept full responsibility for compliance with applicable law.

4. Responsibilities of Barns (Stable Owners)

Barns are solely responsible for:

• verifying Worker identity, qualifications, and right to work;

• determining whether an employment relationship exists;

• compliance with Dutch employment law, tax law, and social security law;

• payroll administration, wage payment, holiday pay, and minimum wage compliance;

• workplace safety obligations under the Arbowet, including RI&E;

• insurance coverage, including liability and workplace accident insurance.

The Stable Network bears no responsibility for any failure by a Barn to meet legal obligations.

5. Responsibilities of Workers

Workers are solely responsible for:

• providing accurate profile information;

• maintaining valid identification and work authorization;

• complying with tax, VAT, and business registration obligations (if applicable);

• carrying appropriate insurance (including liability insurance);

• determining their own availability and accepting or declining Bookings freely;

• performing services independently without Platform supervision.

Workers acknowledge that The Stable Network does not guarantee work, income, or minimum bookings.

6. Memberships & Fees (Barns Only)

6.1 Membership requirement
Access to the Platform for Barns is provided on the basis of a paid monthly membership.
Workers may access and use the Platform free of charge unless explicitly stated otherwise.

6.2 Membership tiers
The Stable Network offers three membership plans for Barns. Each plan provides access to the Platform with varying features, limits, or benefits as described on the Platform at the time of subscription.

Barns may freely choose, upgrade, or downgrade their membership plan in accordance with these Terms.

6.3 Nature of the membership fee
The membership fee is:

• a fixed recurring fee for access to the Platform;

• not dependent on the number of bookings, hours worked, or wages paid;

• not a commission, success fee, or percentage of Worker earnings.

Payment of a membership fee does not:

• create an employment relationship;

• constitute payment for services performed by Workers;

• imply responsibility for staffing, supervision, or job outcomes.

6.4 Billing & payment
Membership fees are:

• billed monthly in advance;

• payable via the payment methods made available on the Platform;

• exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.

Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of access.

6.5 Upgrades, downgrades & changes

• Upgrades take effect immediately.

• Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

The Stable Network may modify membership pricing or features, with prior notice where required by law.

6.6 Cancellation
Barns may cancel their membership at any time through their account settings or as otherwise indicated on the Platform.

Unless mandatory law provides otherwise:

• cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period;

• no refunds are provided for partially used periods.

6.7 No guarantee of results
Payment of a membership fee does not guarantee:

• availability of Workers;

• acceptance of bookings;

• performance, reliability, or suitability of any Worker.

7. Bookings & Payments

7.1 Bookings are agreements between Users.
Once a Booking is confirmed, any agreement exists solely between the Barn and the Worker.

7.2 No payment processing.
The Stable Network:

• does not process payments;

• does not hold client funds;

• does not set rates or wages;

• does not invoice on behalf of Users.

All financial arrangements occur outside the Platform.

8. Reliability Scores & Reviews

8.1 The Platform may display reliability indicators based on User activity (e.g. attendance, cancellations).

8.2 Scores are informational only and do not constitute guarantees, endorsements, or certifications.

8.3 The Stable Network is not liable for decisions made by Users based on ratings or reviews.

9. Manual Override & Platform Control

9.1 The Company reserves the right to:

• suspend, limit, or remove Users;

• override system functionality;

• investigate complaints or misuse.

9.2 Such actions do not imply control over work or creation of an employment relationship.

10. Prohibited Use

Users may not:

• provide false or misleading information;

• discriminate unlawfully;

• use the Platform for illegal employment practices;

• circumvent tax or labor laws;

• misuse personal data of other Users.

11. Liability & Disclaimer

11.1 Platform-as-is.
The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of availability, accuracy, or suitability.

11.2 No liability for work performed.
The Stable Network is not liable for:

• injuries, damages, or losses during or after services;

• misconduct, negligence, or non-performance;

• employment disputes or tax claims;

• misclassification of Workers.

11.3 Limitation of liability.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability of The Stable Network is limited to direct damages and capped at the fees paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Stable Network from all claims, damages, penalties, or costs arising from:

• employment law violations;

• tax or social security claims;

• workplace accidents;

• User-to-User disputes.

13. GDPR & Data Protection

13.1 Personal data is processed in accordance with the GDPR and the Platform’s Privacy Policy.

13.2 Users agree not to request or process protected personal characteristics unlawfully.

14. Termination

The Stable Network may terminate or suspend access at any time for breach of these Terms or legal risk exposure.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Dutch law.
Any disputes shall be submitted exclusively to the competent courts of the Netherlands.

16. Amendments

The Company may amend these Terms. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
